Stigma Project

TAPE’s ethos and core message is threaded into the work and is carried out in the community for the community.
The hate-crime poster launch was inspired from a project called Stigma at TAPE, the participants involved created a film that looked at raising awareness and reducing stigma for people with a learning disability (available on TAPE TV) This has now expanded into the North Wales Police teaming up with TAPE and Wired to launch a campaign to raise awareness of disability hate crime. These posters are now in Arriva buses!

Steve Swindon, TAPE community Music and Film said: “The development of the hate crime poster has stemmed directly from the work of the Stigma production team and their desire to make a difference to the lives of other people. They have worked with a consistent professionalism and real focus, using their own experiences to inform the work and ensure that the key message comes across clearly.
